Looking for critique? The Roving Unicorn provides advanced critique and opinionated remarks. If you would like your work featured on the blog, please follow the submission instructions below.
How it works
The Roving Unicorn will provide a detailed critique of your work and feature it on the blog for commentators to add to. Submissions are accepted based on volume, genre, and order in which E-mail is received. Not all submissions are guaranteed a critique.
Warning! Critiques may be harsh, honest, and potentially anger inducing. Only submit if you are certain you would like to open your work up to feedback.
Genres accepted include fiction and nonfiction, YA, MG, NA, speculative lit, and commercial lit in all subcategories. NO POETRY. Sorry, unicorns are allergic to poems. However, feel free to submit outlines, plot synopsis, and query letters in the aforementioned genres for critique if desired.
1,500 WORD COUNT MAX. Sample chapters/excerpts are fine so long as they meet the word count.
All submissions should be sent to RovingUnicornLit@gmail.com
In the subject line, please use the following format: “Submission: TITLE OF PROJECT”
Include the word count, genre/subgenre (i.e. YA: Fantasy), and any relevant information or points of focus.
PASTE THE SUBMISSION AND ALL INFORMATION INTO THE BODY OF THE E-MAIL. ATTACHMENTS WILL NOT BE OPENED.
Finally, paste the following disclaimer into the E-mail:
If accepted, I grant permission for The Roving Unicorn to feature my work on the blog, for the duration of the life of the blog.
